I’m pleased to share that my 2009 redesign of Guy Debord’s The Game of War is on display as part of CLASS WARGAMES‘ contribution to Play Power, an exhibition at the Sainsbury Centre, University of East Anglia, in Norwich.
Play Power forms part of the Sainsbury Centre’s 2026 exhibition season, What is the Meaning of Life?, exploring what it means to be human through rules, play, memory and the values that shape our lives.
Originally conceived by the Situationist Guy Debord, The Game of War is a strategic board game about conflict, communication and the balance of forces.
The exhibition opened on 15 May 2026 and runs until 15 November 2026.
After all, the point is not simply to contemplate the spectacle, but to change the rules of the game.
Exhibition: Play Power
