I’m pleased to share that my 2009 redesign of Guy Debord’s The Game of War is also on display as part of CLASS WARGAMES‘ contribution to PLAY!, an exhibition at Museum Jorn in Silkeborg, Denmark.
It’s the same board currently exhibited at the Sainsbury Centre in Norwich, continuing its journey through the art of play, strategy and revolutionary theory.
PLAY! explores play as an artistic method and a way of creating reality, bringing together works by Marcel Duchamp, Alexander Calder, Niki de Saint Phalle, Jake Chapman, Mika Rottenberg, Paul McCarthy, Pipilotti Rist, Søren Dahlgaard and others.
On 2 October 2026, I’ll be playing The Game of War at Museum Jorn in a public performance with CLASS WARGAMES. Once again, we’re taking Debord’s revolutionary theory off the page and onto the gaming table.
After all, the point is not simply to contemplate the spectacle, but to change the rules of the game.
Exhibition: PLAY!
